About the pub

The First & Last is quite a large and spacious pub. As you enter the pub the bar is on your left and there is a pool table in the centre of the room. It is a very friendly pub with a nice atmosphere about it. The music is not too loud so you can talk without having to shout at each other.
Now, for the important bit, the beers. If you know Hop Back beers you will know what to expect, and you won‘t be disappointed with the First & Last. As you would expect from a Hop Back pub, summer Lightning heads the range of ales on the bar. There was also GFB, Odyssey and Crop Circle available on the day I visited . They were all in exellent condition and very drinkable.
The pub is very close to St Thomas railway station which makes it very accessible from Teignmouth and Dawlish to name two towns close by.

Hop Back Brewery‘s newest acquisition, The First & Last in Cowick Street, Exeter has opened its doors and is trading well. There is a selection of filled rolls always available along with the usual pub snacks. There are 2 pool teams and a darts team that use the pub. There is also an outside smoking area.
