Hello! My name is Jasper and I was born at the Nottingham Guide Dog training centre. I was trained to be a Guide Dog in Scotland and came back to Nottingham in 1996 to meet my new Dad. Even though I say so myself, I was a good Guide Dog but sometimes I could be a bit Mischievous. I was a bit of a devil when I met other dogs. I didn't see eye to eye with dogs and if I saw one when we were out I would sometimes have a go at it, not the done thing really for a Guide Dog. As you can see from the photo's below I was always quite a bit of a rogue, getting up to something I shouldn‘t be.

I was always thinking of being a Guide Dog from a very early age as you can see from the photo on the left. I enjoyed my time in Nottingham but one day while I was having a run on the park I went for another dog. Unfortunately for it, it was still on the lead and as my teeth went into its ear, its owner pulled and the ear came away from the dog. The dog went off to the vets and me and my Dad went off to the pub. The next day I was taken away to the training centre where the training staff tried to make me be a good doggie. I wanted to be a good Guide Dog but the ‘Mr hyde’ in me would not let me and I was retired. I now live with a family in Derby and I am only allowed to free run on my own under supervision.
