Hello! My name is Olga but everybody called me Ollie. I was born and trained in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. My Mum is called Charm and my Dad is called Holly. I met my new Dad in 1988 when he came to learn how to be a Guide Dog owner. We trained for four weeks at Leamington and then I went home with my Dad to Nottingham. It was very strange at first but I soon got to know my way around.

It was very enjoyable being a Guide Dog and I looked forward to going out with my Dad. Sometimes we would go on long walks in the country and I liked going for a swim when my Dad went water ski-ing. That was fun because we would take the tent and stay by the lake and there were lots of other dogs to play with. At the weekends I would go to the White Swan with my Dad where he played the organ. That was fun too because after everyone had gone home at the end of the night I got to play with Perno, the pub Germen Shepherd, while my Dad had a few 'staff drinks'.

Me and my Dad used to do lots of fund raising for the Guide Dogs and once my Dad ran the half marathon and raised over £300. I liked doing the shopping centre collections because I met lots of people who made a fuss of me and told me how beautiful I was. I enjoyed the time I spent as a Guide Dog and I was very sad when I had to retire. Unfortunately my Dad couldn't keep me because he needed another Guide Dog so I went to live with a family in Wolloton, Nottingham.
